On June 5, 2022, a fan on Reddit successful a poll titled, "Hardest death scene to watch." The options are Erik (Religion Hillborg), Ragnar (Tobias Santelmann), King Alfred (David Dawson), Thyra (Julia Bache-Wiig), and Bring forth Beocca (Ian Hart). Over 1,900 people took part in the poll. The results were quite walk-to when information technology comes to some characters. Beocca South Korean won the poll with 685 votes. Following close behind comes Thyra with 662 votes. From there, Ragnar takes third with 365 votes. Alfred has 168 votes, and Erik has sole 62 votes.
Some fans weighed in with their thoughts
Whatever viewers level commented with their opinions as well. Thyra, Beocca's wife, was mentioned the most. She was the sister of the main character, Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) when he's adoptive by Earl Ragnar (Saint Peter Gantzler). She died by suicide during a fire that she couldn't escape.
